Somatic Movement

Understanding movement through the Five Element Wheel from Chinese Medicine and Touch for Health

The BioEnergetic Wellness Formula

Our programs create a specific flow and level of content within each area of discovery, whether that is dance, Tai Chi, or NeuroArts.  This all-encompassing approach provides for excellent and immediate discovery of change for long-lasting results.

Goals & Intentions

Before somatic movement begins, we must know where our destination is, otherwise movement is movement for the present moment.

Awareness with Activity

Our explorations create the space to discover tension and stress, and to know how open movement feels and transforms.

Connection

Our approach through group activity brings the compassionate support of others into the program, supports accountability, and expands possibility and dreams.

Intuition & Self-Discovery

Our programs educate, empower, and inspire personal support for a wellness plan that leads our clients forward.

Connect with Nature

Somatic Movement
expands self-discovery

Our tools have been explored through the Five Elements from Chinese Medicine: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood.  We realize the role that different muscles play in meridians, elements, and organs.  This whole-body approach identifies areas of challenge, corresponding emotional blocks, and a personalized approach to movement to release the challenges and create balance and flow.

All of our programs provide Somatic Movement support, and Dr. Michelle’s knowledge of Touch for Health, Therapeutic Touch and NeuroReflex Integration supports prioritizing the best movement options for the client’s needs.  This includes both seated and standing versions, as well as resources like manuals, videos, and card decks to help with the use of and regular growth with the bioenergetic wellness tools.

You can find somatic movement embedded in our classes, workshops, and retreats.  Our use of the bioenergetic wellness formula provides for a roadmap of discovery and engaging the innate healing potential.
