Michellie’s Matcha Mixes

Matcha
Your Super Power Food

Drinking Matcha green tea began in China during the Tang and Song dynasties.  In the 12th century, a monk took the drink to Japan, where it has been a continued specialty item.

The plants are covered for a month before harvest to boost the cholorphyll and amino acid levels.  The leaves are steamed, dried and sorted to remove stems and veins, then ground in a special machine or on stone mills creating the fine powder.

At the Cape Breton Tea Company we strive to create specialty flavours, with intentions on every package.  This Matcha series also titles the tea based on common phrases special to the East Coast of Canada.  Enjoy finding your favourite.

How do you pronounce Michellie? Mikaylee!  Our daughter loves tea, and these blends are in honour of her passion for helping out at the Cape Breton Tea Company.  Michellie’s Matcha Mixes!
