										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For those who live with migraine, the story often begins with one urgent wish:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Make it stop.</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Stop the pain.<br>Stop the nausea.<br>Stop the sensitivity to light.<br>Stop the disruption.<br>Stop the cancellations.<br>Stop the unpredictability.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And for good reason.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Migraine is far more than “just a headache.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is a complex neurological experience that can impact vision, digestion, mood, cognition, balance, sensory processing, sleep, emotional wellbeing, and the ability to function in everyday life. For many, migraine becomes an invisible companion that others don’t fully understand—a condition that can alter careers, relationships, family life, confidence, and personal dreams.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During <strong>Migraine Awareness Month</strong>, we pause to acknowledge not only the challenges faced by migraine sufferers, but also the resilience required to keep showing up while carrying an experience that can be deeply isolating.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But what if the conversation around healing could expand?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Because while symptom relief is essential, healing may ask us to look beyond the immediate pain toward something even more important:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>What life are you trying to reclaim?</strong></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">When Migraine Begins Making the Decisions</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Migraine often changes the way we live long before we realize it.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At first, the changes seem practical.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You avoid certain foods.<br>You cancel a few plans.<br>You adjust your schedule.<br>You become cautious about bright spaces, long drives, stress, hormones, travel, social commitments, or anything that might trigger another episode.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But over time, something subtle happens.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Life starts organizing itself around migraine.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You hesitate before saying yes.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You stop planning ahead.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You avoid committing to things you once loved.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And eventually, there may be dreams that quietly move to the back shelf.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That trip you always wanted to take.<br>The business you wanted to start.<br>The class you wanted to enroll in.<br>The book you wanted to write.<br>The dance class.<br>The art retreat.<br>The Tai Chi program.<br>The volunteer role.<br>The speaking opportunity.<br>The travel adventure.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not because you stopped caring.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But because migraine made uncertainty feel safer than possibility.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And perhaps the most important question becomes:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>What have you stopped allowing yourself to imagine?</strong></p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Healing Needs a Compass</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the challenges with chronic health concerns is that healing can become entirely focused on symptom suppression.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And while relief absolutely matters, there is a difference between:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>“I need this pain to stop.”</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">and</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>“I want my life back because there is something meaningful I am here to do.”</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That second question changes everything.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Because healing becomes directional.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Purpose creates momentum.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When you know where you want to go, the path becomes clearer.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That doesn’t mean the journey becomes easy.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But it means your healing is no longer defined only by what you are trying to escape.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It becomes anchored in what you are moving toward.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What do you want your life to feel like?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What have you always wanted to learn?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What relationships do you want to enjoy more fully?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What contribution do you want to make?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What joy are you ready to welcome back?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is where healing becomes deeply personal.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Tea Ritual for Clarity and Direction</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the simple practices I return to each day is the ritual of preparing tea.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not because I expect one herb to solve a complex health challenge, but because healing is rarely about one thing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Just as the body is an interconnected system, the herbs in a thoughtfully crafted blend work together to create balance and support.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For this Migraine Awareness Month podcast, we are featuring <strong>Mintal ClariTEA</strong> from the Cape Breton Tea Company.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This blend reminds us that wellness is a collaboration.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Peppermint</strong> brings clarity and freshness, helping us release tension and create space for new possibilities. Its spiritual essence encourages graciousness and openness.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Turmeric</strong> offers warmth and movement. Long appreciated for its supportive role in overall vitality and balance, its energetic message reminds us that healing is an active journey forward.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Calendula petals</strong> bring gentleness and restoration. They invite us to nurture ourselves with compassion and to trust that healing can happen through kindness as much as through effort.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Together, these herbs reflect an important lesson for anyone living with migraine:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We do not need one perfect answer.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We need a community of supports that work together—good healthcare, meaningful goals, nourishing foods, restorative movement, healthy relationships, stress management, and moments of quiet reflection.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As you prepare your own cup of tea, pause for a moment and consider today&#8217;s affirmation:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>&#8220;When we know where we are going, the path clears and we can focus on the little things that matter most.&#8221;</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Perhaps that path is not simply one of avoiding the next migraine.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Perhaps it is the path back to the life you have been waiting to live.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What If the Body’s Priority Has Been Missed?</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most frustrating parts of the migraine journey is the trial-and-error approach.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Try this medication.<br>Remove this food.<br>Adjust your hormones.<br>Sleep more.<br>Sleep less.<br>Drink more water.<br>Reduce stress.<br>Try magnesium.<br>Try a different practitioner.<br>Try a different diagnosis.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sometimes these interventions help.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sometimes they don’t.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And sometimes people spend years addressing symptoms without ever uncovering the deeper priority for the body.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is one reason our <em>Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell</em> podcast conversation with Kelly Richardson is so important.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kelly Richardson is a bioenergetic wellness professional, educator, and international instructor who helps people explore how stress, trauma, energetic imbalance, and physiological overwhelm may be influencing health patterns—including chronic concerns such as migraine.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through approaches such as <strong>muscle monitoring, biofeedback, bioenergetic wellness and specialized kinesiology</strong>, facilitators can explore how the body is prioritizing stress in real time.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This matters because what appears to be “the migraine issue” may not always be the true starting point.</p>

<li>inflammatory stress</li>



<li>environmental sensitivities</li>



<li>nervous system dysregulation</li>

<li>unresolved trauma</li>



<li>energetic imbalance</li>



<li>mental overwhelm</li>



<li>chronic compensation patterns</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If the intervention is aimed at the wrong priority, progress may feel frustratingly limited.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That doesn’t mean the person has failed.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It may simply mean the body is asking for a different conversation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Migraine Is Complex—And So Are We</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No single herb.<br>No single therapy.<br>No single strategy.<br>No single answer.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Healing rarely works that way.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Because we are multi-dimensional beings.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Physical.<br>Chemical.<br>Electrical.<br>Mental.<br>Emotional.<br>Energetic.<br>Spiritual.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A migraine story may involve more than one of these layers—and often does.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is why whole-person approaches can offer meaningful insight alongside conventional medical support.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not because migraines are imagined.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not because the pain “is all in your head.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But because the body is an interconnected system.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And when one part of the system is under strain, other systems adapt.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Understanding those patterns can become incredibly empowering.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Learning to Partner With Your Body</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most beautiful outcomes of education-based wellness approaches is empowerment.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When people begin learning how the body communicates, fear often softens.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Curiosity grows.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Self-awareness increases.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And healing becomes something done <em>with</em> the body rather than <em>to</em> the body.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is one reason many people find value in educational systems such as <strong>Touch for Health</strong> and bioenergetic wellness training, not necessarily to become facilitators, but to better understand stress responses, energy flow, body awareness, and self-support strategies.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Journey of Service and Leadership</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My involvement with the Canadian Association of BioEnergetic Wellness spans several decades, reflecting a deep commitment to advancing wellness education and helping people discover their own innate healing potential. Since 2020, I have had the privilege of serving as President of the Association, helping guide its vision of making bioenergetic wellness education accessible to both facilitators and the public.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Joining me in this journey is <strong>Natascha Polomski</strong>, who has served as Treasurer and Bookkeeper since 2020. Her dedication and thoughtful stewardship help ensure that the organization can continue to grow, develop programs, and support the communities we serve.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In our Podcasthon conversation, Natascha and I share the story of the Association’s growth, the volunteers who sustain it, and the many initiatives designed to bring wellness education to people seeking a deeper understanding of their health.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Engaging in Wellness Rather Than Dis-Ease</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the central ideas explored in our Podcasthon conversation is the difference between engaging with <strong>wellness</strong> and engaging with <strong>dis-ease</strong>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When people become focused only on illness, symptoms, or fear, their journey can feel disempowering. Health becomes something that happens <em>to</em> them rather than something they can actively participate in.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bioenergetic wellness invites a different perspective.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It encourages individuals to become curious about their bodies, their emotions, and their energy patterns. Through practices such as movement, breath, energy awareness, muscle monitoring, and biofeedback, individuals can begin to understand the subtle ways their bodies communicate.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spine and neck pain are among the most common discomforts people live with today. Yet for all the stretching, heating pads, pillows, and posture corrections we try, the pain often returns. Why? Because spine and neck pain rarely originates from the area where we <em>feel</em> it. In Touch for Health (TFH) and other bioenergetic modalities, we’ve learned again and again that the body expresses imbalance in fascinating, indirect ways. The neck may hurt, but the root cause could be emotional overload, hydration issues, digestive imbalance, blocked neurolymphatics, stress patterns, or an overworked meridian system trying to get your attention.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In <strong>Episode 3</strong> of our <em>Understanding Body Pain</em> series with <strong>Denise Cambiotti</strong>, <strong>Dr. Kate Montgomery</strong>, and myself, we explore how the spine and neck act as a communication system for the entire body — physically, emotionally, and energetically.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Pain Isn’t Always Where the Problem Is</strong></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most profound concepts in Touch for Health is that the point of pain is often <em>not</em> the point of origin.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For example:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Neck pain may be connected to an imbalance in the <strong>Stomach</strong>, <strong>Spleen</strong>, or <strong>Small Intestine</strong> meridian.</li>



<li>Shoulder tension may arise from <strong>hydration stress</strong> or emotional worry that weakens the Kidney meridian.</li>



<li>Lower back pain may relate to the <strong>Psoas</strong>, governed by the Kidney meridian, or emotional fear patterns.</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Denise explains this beautifully in the episode: the body compensates constantly. When one muscle shuts down or becomes inhibited, other muscles tighten, harden, or twist to support us. Over time, these compensations turn into pain, stiffness, or reduced mobility. Pain is not the “problem”—it’s the <em>messenger.</em></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is why techniques like <strong>muscle monitoring</strong> and <strong>muscle biofeedback</strong> are so valuable. They help us discover the <em>priority stress</em> the body is trying to resolve. Instead of chasing symptoms, we listen to the body’s intelligence.</p>



<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Spine as an Emotional Highway</strong></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Your spine is one of the most energetically expressive structures in the body.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kate shared her experiences working with elite athletes who often show spinal tension before major competitions. Their upper back and neck tighten when they feel:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>pressure</li>



<li>fear of failure</li>



<li>imposter syndrome</li>



<li>uncertainty during transitions, such as retirement</li>



<li>emotional vulnerability</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She noticed that when athletes learned how to balance the <strong>Central and Governing meridians</strong>, release neurolymphatic stress points, and hydrate properly, their posture changed — and their confidence returned.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is not accidental. The spine reflects how well we are navigating life. When emotions are calm, the spine flows. When emotions overwhelm the system, the spine stiffens like armor.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Alignment Beyond Posture</strong></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most empowering discoveries in TFH is the role of <strong>energetic alignment</strong>. Alignment is not simply bone positioning — it is the harmony between:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>muscles</li>



<li>meridians</li>



<li>emotions</li>



<li>hydration</li>



<li>belief patterns</li>



<li>stress levels</li>



<li>energetic flow</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Denise explained in the episode how certain spinal muscles act as “guardians” for the nervous system. When fear, pressure, or mental overload hits, these muscles may shut down, leaving us vulnerable to misalignment or injury. By calming emotions first — through ESR (Emotional Stress Release), meridian tracing, or even simple breathing and grounding — muscle tension melts and the tissue becomes workable again.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is why bodywork is always more effective when the emotions are balanced first.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Muscle Monitoring: The Fastest Way to Clarity</strong></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Muscle monitoring isn’t about strength — it’s about communication.<br>With a light touch to test a specific muscle, the body reveals if a muscle is “facilitating” (working properly) or “inhibited” (stressed, overloaded, or under-reactive).</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Once the body shows us where the imbalance lies, we can correct it using tools such as:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>neurolymphatic (Chapman) points</li>



<li>neurovascular points on the head</li>



<li>meridian tracing</li>



<li>emotional stress release</li>



<li>hydration</li>



<li>specific muscle techniques</li>



<li>gait and posture balancing</li>



<li>central &amp; governing meridian work</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Clients often feel immediate relief, not just from physical pain but from emotional heaviness they didn’t even realize they were carrying.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>A New Way Forward</strong></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spine and neck pain don’t need to be lifelong struggles. They are invitations — signals from the body requesting alignment, awareness, and emotional clarity. Our experiences with Touch for Health have transformed how we view pain. For many of us, including Denise, Kate, and myself, TFH became the missing piece that connected movement, energy, emotion, and healing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And this is exactly why I’m so passionate about teaching TFH to others.</p>

Today, we go deeper: we explore the science of <strong>biofeedback</strong>, the skill of <strong>muscle response testing</strong>, and how these tools give us the confidence to prioritize self-care with precision and clarity.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Biofeedback, particularly <strong>muscle monitoring</strong>, allows us to move beyond guesswork. Instead of trial and error, we can listen to the body directly. The muscle response test — pioneered by Dr. George Goodheart and expanded by countless practitioners — isn’t about testing strength. It’s about understanding the <strong>energetic integrity of a muscle</strong> and how it relates to the body’s systems. Each muscle reflects information about the organ system and its flow of energy. By tuning in, we gain insight into where the body needs support first, second, or later.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Recent research by <strong>Dr. Anne Jensen at Oxford University</strong> has helped legitimize this method in the eyes of science. Her work shows that muscle response testing is a reproducible, evidence-based tool to assess the integrity of organ systems. It validates what practitioners have long observed: the body communicates, and it can do so reliably if we know how to listen.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most transformative aspects of muscle monitoring is its ability to guide <strong>prioritization</strong>. Often, when we try to heal ourselves, we attempt everything at once: new diets, supplements, exercises, or meditations. While these practices may be beneficial, they can become overwhelming or even conflicting if applied without order.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Muscle monitoring reveals the body’s innate wisdom. It shows us what needs attention first, second, and third — allowing us to act confidently. Instead of guessing, we follow the signals of our own system.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For example, Denise Cambiotti, DHC, shares that during a session, a client may present with shoulder tension. The muscle test might reveal that the real priority lies in the digestive or adrenal system. Supporting that first often releases the tension in the shoulder without direct intervention. Likewise, Kate Montgomery, ND, has discovered that conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome are frequently linked to musculoskeletal imbalances in the arm and shoulder. By addressing those primary imbalances first, clients often avoid surgery altogether.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The beauty of biofeedback is that it bridges science and intuitive awareness. By understanding the evidence-based mechanisms — the link between muscles, organ systems, and energy flow — we gain confidence that our actions are effective. Simultaneously, we tap into the intuitive and energetic side of the body, deepening our connection to our own innate healing potential.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It’s a reminder that the body is intelligent. We don’t have to fight it, force it, or guess at what it needs. We simply <em>listen, respond, and support</em>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You don’t need to be a practitioner to start connecting with the body in a biofeedback way. Here are a few tips shared in our podcast episode:</p>

<li><strong>Check In Daily:</strong> Spend a few minutes noticing tension, breath, and posture. Where do you feel tight, blocked, or low in energy?</li>



<li><strong>Simple Muscle Awareness:</strong> Lightly touch or activate key muscle groups while breathing slowly. Notice where your energy shifts or where tension releases.</li>



<li><strong>Body Pendulum:</strong> This is a gentle method to gauge responses from your system. Holding a pendulum or moving your hand over energy points can provide subtle cues.</li>



<li><strong>Tea Rituals:</strong> Integrate awareness into daily rituals. In this episode, we sipped <strong>Golden SereniTEA</strong>, a black and green tea blend with <strong>lemon balm</strong> and <strong>turmeric</strong>, encouraging relaxation, confidence, and inner peace. Rituals like this support your energetic alignment.</li>



<li><strong>Expand Your Learning:</strong> For those ready to go deeper, consider certified training in <strong>muscle monitoring, Touch for Health, or energy medicine modalities</strong>. Learning alongside experienced practitioners provides confidence, skills, and a supportive community.</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Muscle monitoring empowers us to <em>trust ourselves</em>. Each session, each check-in, each small ritual becomes an opportunity to support the systems of the body intelligently and intuitively. And when combined with energy awareness, mindfulness, and community support, it forms a comprehensive approach to living wellness daily.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who is Einav Avni?</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A close colleague and inspiration, Einav has an interesting way of looking at challenges, and finding the means to release the road blocks that may appear. If you suffer from chronic pain, illness, or unexplained medical conditions, then Einav is ready for you. Her healing methods have helped those whose doctors told them they&#8217;d never get better (physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually!). As an Alignment Coach and an Emotion, Body and Belief Codes Energy Healer, she provides an insight into the background of illness and how it can manifest illness within the body. </p>

We hear the insights that Einav gained from the interview of the experts and specialists she discovered along the interview process. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is with great pride that I share with you a project that I have been a part of for many years.  Knowlative.com is a resource that I support to bring BioEnergetic Wellness tools, muscle monitoring, biofeedback, Chinese Medicine, and movement all under one roof.  For several years, even through the pandemic, they have been working tirelessly to provide a resource that is easy to use, and full of rich technical information.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Today they launched the platform in 3 languages.  No matter what document you want to look at, you can access it in English, Italian, and Spanish. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the resources different protocols can be shared with others to help gain exposure to the protocol, but also to begin collaborating with the experience of others to help grow the protocol and advance care for clients.  </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This introductory session is a chance for you to get to know us as three amazing facilitators, with very diverse training and experience.&nbsp; Together we help you to prioritize your self-care, leave out the habits that are not serving you, and add new ones that will make the days go easier, and the healing magnify.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our approach includes building a healing community so the time that you are with us on this journey of discovery and enhancement, you are being supported daily with healing energy, whether it is your 9 private sessions, or the magnification of the other program offerings that highlight your energy and vitality lifting.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Beta 2 begins in just another week, and we would love for you to be able to join us.  We are looking for people with chronic pain and conditions that may not have an explanation or resolution.  We want to find people who have tried &#8220;everything&#8221; and have not gotten the relief they had hoped for.  We also, want people ready to consider self-empowerment and a personal self-care plan. </p>
