<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>From Survival to Expression</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When the nervous system is burdened by chronic stress, unresolved grief, and emotional overload, much of our energy is used simply to cope.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Creativity narrows.<br>Clarity diminishes.<br>Joy becomes harder to access.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But when the body begins to regulate and the system feels safe enough to expand, something shifts.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Energy that was once used for protection becomes available for expression.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is where purpose begins.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not as pressure.<br>But as permission.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Microcosm and the Macrocosm</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most beautiful ideas explored in this episode is the relationship between the human body and the greater universe.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ancient traditions have long understood the body as a microcosm of the cosmos—a living reflection of larger patterns found in nature, planetary movement, rhythm, and energetic law.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Modern science continues to explore this through rhythm, wave patterns, electromagnetic influence, and biological entrainment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Across spiritual traditions, creation begins with vibration.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In sacred texts, it is the Word.<br>In yogic traditions, it is OM.<br>In physics, it is oscillation and wave.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sound is one of the oldest languages of organization.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is why practices involving bowls, tuning forks, mantra, and intentional tone can feel so deeply regulating—they remind the body of order.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">They create spaciousness.<br>They restore rhythm.<br>They reconnect us to trust.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Trust as a Healing State</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To live forward requires trust.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not certainty.<br>Not control.<br>Not proof.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trust that healing is possible.<br>Trust that the body remembers.<br>Trust that your next step does not need to be forced.<br>Trust that purpose emerges when you stop performing and begin listening.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Healing does not happen in the past.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Physiology of Presence</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When we are overwhelmed, the body narrows its focus toward survival.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Breath becomes shallow.<br>Muscles tighten.<br>Digestion slows.<br>Hormones shift.<br>Immune function changes.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The body becomes efficient at protection—but less available for healing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is why presence matters.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When the body feels safe enough to slow down, the nervous system begins to regulate. Heart rhythm stabilizes. Breath deepens. Digestion improves. Repair becomes possible.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This state is often described as coherence.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Research in nervous system regulation and heart-brain communication suggests that coherent states support improved emotional regulation, clearer thinking, and more efficient physiological recovery.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Peace, in this sense, is deeply biological.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Grief in the Body</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most important truths explored in this episode is that grief is not only emotional.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is physiological.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Unprocessed grief can live in the body as tension, fatigue, numbness, constriction, anxiety, and chronic dysregulation. When grief is suppressed, the body continues carrying the energetic load.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is one reason emotional suppression is so often linked to chronic stress patterns and dis-ease.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Grief is not something to conquer.<br>It is something to move.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ann-Marie brings profound insight from her work in grief care, sound support, and palliative presence—reminding us that expression is not weakness. It is physiology in motion.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Sound as Release</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many traditional cultures understood something modern systems often forgot: sound helps us move emotion.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Keening, wailing, chanting, lamentation, and intentional vocalization have long served as pathways for grief, release, and collective healing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These are not dramatic expressions.<br>They are biological ones.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sound gives shape to what the body cannot always articulate through language.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Voice creates movement.<br>Breath creates space.<br>Tone creates release.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is one of the most compassionate forms of nervous system care available to us.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Presence as Practice</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This episode reminds us that healing does not require perfection.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It requires presence.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not fixing.<br>Not forcing.<br>Not rushing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Just presence.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To breathe with what is here.<br>To listen to what is asking to move.<br>To allow grief to soften into motion.<br>To let the body return to itself.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>You Are an Instrument: The Science and Soul of Resonance</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What if healing begins not with doing more, but with listening more deeply?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the opening episode of <em>Resonance Rising</em>, we begin with a simple but profound truth: the human body is not simply a biological machine. It is an instrument of resonance.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Every heartbeat carries rhythm. Every thought carries tone. Every emotion creates vibration. Long before symptoms arise in the body, the nervous system is already responding to the frequencies of stress, thought patterns, environmental stimulation, and emotional memory.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is where healing begins—not with force, but with tuning.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In Episode 3 of Season 6, <em>Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell</em>, I am joined by Ann Smets and Ann-Marie Boudreau, and together we explore what it means to understand the body as a living resonance chamber—one constantly receiving, interpreting, and broadcasting information through vibration.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Body as a Resonance Chamber</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Modern science increasingly supports what many ancient healing traditions have long understood: the body is vibrational by nature.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sound is not only something we hear. It is something we feel.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The human body conducts sound through tissue, fluid, fascia, bone, and nerve pathways. Research in vibroacoustic therapy, music therapy, and nervous system regulation continues to demonstrate that sound influences heart rate variability, vagal tone, stress response, emotional regulation, and pain perception.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The body is constantly responding to rhythm and tone.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This means healing can begin through intentional sound.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When we understand resonance—the way one frequency influences another—we begin to understand how the body can be guided back toward harmony.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Four Principles of Sound Healing</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In this episode, we explore four foundational principles that help explain how sound supports healing:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Resonance</strong> is the body’s natural response to vibration. When one stable frequency is introduced, another can begin to reorganize in response.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Frequency</strong> is the measurable rate of vibration. Everything in the body vibrates—from the nervous system to organ systems to emotional states.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Entrainment</strong> is the process by which the body begins to synchronize with a more coherent rhythm. This is why breathwork, mantra, and repetitive sound can be so regulating.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Intention</strong> directs the experience. Sound becomes more than stimulation when paired with awareness. It becomes medicine.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These principles help us understand why sound has been used in healing practices for thousands of years—and why modern wellness is now rediscovering its value.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Why the Voice Matters</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the most powerful instruments we have is the voice.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before the voice becomes language, it is vibration.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Toning, humming, chanting, and vocalization stimulate the vagus nerve, regulate breath, and support emotional release. Studies on humming have shown increased nitric oxide production, improved sinus ventilation, and parasympathetic activation. Chanting practices have also been linked to reduced anxiety and improved nervous system regulation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The voice is not simply for speaking.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is for regulating.<br>It is for releasing.<br>It is for remembering.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In this episode, Ann-Marie Boudreau guides listeners through the healing power of vocalization, reminding us that sound is not performance—it is participation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Tuning the Heart</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This episode also explores the heart as both a physical organ and an energetic center of coherence.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The heart is more than a pump. It is an electrical and vibrational conductor, constantly sending information throughout the body. Research in heart-brain communication has shown that emotional states influence heart rhythm patterns, and coherent heart rhythms support greater physiological regulation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When we tune the heart, we do not simply calm the body.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We restore communication across the whole system.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is where sound, breath, intention, and presence begin to work together.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Healing Begins with Listening</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before we can change the world around us, we must first become aware of what is happening within us.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is the invitation of Episode 1.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To listen.<br>To soften.<br>To tune.<br>To remember that your body is not broken.<br>It is responsive.<br>And with the right rhythm, it remembers how to return to harmony.</p>

With a cup of <strong>1713 Spring Tea</strong> in hand—crafted with lavender and rose petals reminiscent of the herbs that have graced these fields across generations—you are invited to pause in reverence for the lineage of the land, the rhythm of the seasons, and the wisdom carried through nature. As lavender soothes the nervous system and rose gently opens the heart, this micro-ritual becomes an act of tuning—through breath, warmth, memory, and devotion—reminding us that nature has already created the pathway for connection, and in choosing to engage, we become one with it.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This season on <em>Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell</em>, we invite listeners into a powerful three-part journey through sound, frequency, and energetic awareness with two extraordinary guests: Ann Smets and Ann-Marie Boudreau.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The trilogy begins with a foundational truth: your body is not separate from sound.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Your body is not simply a collection of muscles, tissues, and systems. It is a living resonance chamber—responding constantly to thought, emotion, rhythm, environment, and intention.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In this first episode, we explore the body as an instrument of healing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Together, we examine the four foundational principles of sound healing:</p>

<li>Intention</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These are not abstract ideas. They are living forces that shape how we regulate the nervous system, release stored emotional patterns, and restore harmony in the body.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The second episode brings us into the power of coherence—the physiological and energetic state that emerges when breath, body, heart, and awareness come into alignment.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Peace is often misunderstood as passive.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But peace is active.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is a measurable, embodied state in which the nervous system regulates, intuition sharpens, emotional tension softens, and the body begins to repair.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In this deeply moving conversation, we explore how unresolved grief, emotional suppression, and unprocessed life experiences can manifest as dis-ease in the body.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Together, Ann Smets and Ann-Marie Boudreau guide listeners through the transformational role of presence in healing, including:</p>

This acknowledgement is more than a personal milestone — it is a reflection of the many conversations, collaborations, and shared visions that continue to shape the work I am so passionate to bring forward.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Since returning to school in 2014 to deepen my studies in health and wellness, this journey has been one of tremendous growth, discovery, and purpose. What began as a commitment to better understand the body’s remarkable capacity to heal has evolved into a rich and rewarding path of research, program development, community engagement, and international collaboration.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of building systems, programs, and conversations that support wellbeing through education, embodied awareness, and practical self-care. At the heart of this work is a simple but powerful intention: to help people better understand their bodies, reconnect with their own healing capacity, and build sustainable tools for wellbeing in everyday life.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That intention continues to guide my work through <a href="https://www.canbewell.org" title="CanBeWell">CanBeWell</a>, where our focus remains on creating accessible, meaningful wellness education and experiences that help individuals and communities build stronger self-care toolboxes. Through CanBeWell, we continue to explore how movement, music, mindfulness, and embodied awareness can support resilience, regulation, and long-term wellbeing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This same philosophy also shapes the evolution of <a href="https://www.marathonjam.org" title="Marathon Jam">Marathon Jam</a> — a growing initiative rooted in healing through music, movement, and therapeutic connection. What began as a creative gathering has continued to evolve into a deeper exploration of how music and movement can support healing, nervous system regulation, resilience, and restoration. Marathon Jam is helping to create new conversations around trauma-informed care, therapeutic arts, and the power of embodied community healing.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These projects, along with my ongoing work in education and facilitation, are all connected by one core belief: when we create spaces for meaningful conversation, intentional collaboration, and embodied experience, we help people build the tools they need to care for themselves and one another more effectively.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This has also been beautifully reflected through <em>Be Well with Dr Michelle Greenwell</em>, now entering Season 6. The podcast has become a meaningful space for rich conversations, practical insight, and shared learning. Each episode is designed to offer listeners thoughtful tools, new perspectives, and accessible strategies to strengthen their self-care toolbox and support wellbeing in daily life. It has been a joy to explore these conversations with guests from around the world, each bringing their own wisdom, experience, and perspective on healing and resilience.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This past weekend, we were also delighted to celebrate World Tai Chi and Qigong Day — a global event dedicated to raising awareness about the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong for health and wellbeing. It was a meaningful opportunity to gather in community, share movement, and highlight the many ways these practices support balance, resilience, mobility, and nervous system regulation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This year, that work feels especially significant as we continue to focus on creating a Blue Zone-inspired culture of wellbeing in our community through Tai Chi. By bringing greater awareness to gentle movement, social connection, nervous system health, and sustainable wellbeing practices, we are helping to foster the kind of everyday habits that support longevity, vitality, and community wellness for generations to come.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To be recognized as a finalist for the Legacy Leader Award is a true honour, and one that I receive with deep gratitude.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Thank you to Michelle Abraham and everyone involved with the Authority Awards for this recognition and for your confidence in the work I am so privileged to do.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the study of longevity, the concept of the Blue Zones—regions of the world where people live longer, healthier lives—has captured global attention. What stands out in these communities is not just diet or genetics, but a way of living: a deep sense of purpose, daily movement, strong social connections, and a rhythm of life that supports balance in body, mind, and spirit.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These same principles are beautifully embodied in the practice of the 108 Moving Meditation in Tai Chi.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At first glance, 108 movements may seem overwhelming. Many people feel it is too complex, too long, or too difficult to learn. But what if it wasn’t 108 separate movements at all? What if it was simply one continuous flow?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Because that is exactly what it becomes.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And in that realization lies one of the most profound lessons for living well: when we find flow in our movement, we begin to find flow in our lives.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The BioEnergetic Wellness Formula in Motion</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 108 Moving Meditation mirrors the BioEnergetic Wellness Formula:</p>

<li><strong>Awareness of our current state</strong></li>



<li><strong>Activation of energy toward our future</strong></li>



<li><strong>Connection with community</strong></li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Each movement, each breath, each transition becomes a living expression of this formula. It is not something we think about—it is something we embody.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Hidden Journey Within the 108</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">What many practitioners don’t initially realize is that the set unfolds in three powerful sections—each reflecting a phase of life: past, present, and future.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">1. The First 17 Movements: Honouring the Past</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is where many begin—and where many find comfort.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The first 17 movements reveal how our past lives within us:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>In our posture</li>



<li>In our flexibility</li>



<li>In our strength</li>



<li>In our patterns of movement</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here, energy pathways begin to open. The <strong>Bubbling Spring</strong> in the feet awakens, stimulating the kidney meridian and gently releasing fear and anxiety. Breath deepens, reminding us that we are naturally designed to breathe fully when stress is released.  This can assist in releasing guilt, grief and regret. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Movements like <em>Grasp the Bird’s Tail</em> help us release stored emotional tension, while <em>White Stork Spreads Wings</em> invites us to rise above past limitations.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The hips open and close, nurturing the lower Dan Tien—our reservoir of vitality—teaching us to store energy rather than deplete it.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even in the opening, we are introduced to fundamental energetic forces:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Expansion into possibility</li>



<li>Pausing for presence</li>



<li>Rolling back to release tension</li>



<li>Grounding into the earth</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This section becomes a mirror: showing us where we have been, and how those experiences still live within our tissues and biofield.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">2. The Middle Section: Awakening the Present</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As we transition into the second phase, we enter a space of possibility.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Move Hands Like Clouds</em> invites multidimensional awareness:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Up and down</li>



<li>Side to side</li>



<li>Forward and back</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Our eyes scan the horizon, our nervous system awakens, and we begin to perceive the world more fully.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here, purpose begins to emerge.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Push the Needle to Sea Bottom</em> reminds us that we each carry gifts within us.<br><em>Fan Penetrates Back</em> becomes the act of offering those gifts to the world.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is the present moment—where we recognize our role, our potential, and our ability to contribute to the wellbeing of others.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">3. The Final Section: Stepping Into the Future</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the final phase, we meet <em>Fair Lady Works at Shuttles</em>, a movement rich in symbolism.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Like the four legs of the turtle—often associated with the world itself—we move in four directions, expanding our perspective beyond ourselves. We begin to see our place in the greater whole.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In Canada, we often refer to our land as Turtle Island—a reminder that we are part of something much larger.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As we repeat <em>Move Hands Like Clouds</em>, we are invited once again to shift, adapt, and think differently. We release rigidity and open to multidimensional opportunities.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is the future—not something fixed, but something we actively shape through awareness, intention, and movement.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">From Movement to Longevity</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The connection to Blue Zone living becomes clear.</p>

<li>Keeps the body in gentle, consistent motion</li>



<li>Cultivates breath and reduces stress</li>



<li>Strengthens awareness and emotional balance</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is not just exercise. It is a way of living.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through this practice, we move:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>“The journey is the reward.”</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So as you reflect on your own path—your health, your purpose, your connection to the world—return to the movements.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Let them guide you.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Because within the flow of the 108, you may just discover the flow of your life.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through CanBeWell, she has had the privilege of collaborating with incredible colleagues who are passionate about <strong>energy activation techniques and balance practices</strong>. These tools are designed to help people connect with their own internal wisdom, release tension, and cultivate resilience—supporting wellness before symptoms or challenges arise. Together, we are committed to making these practices accessible, evidence-informed, and adaptable to every lifestyle.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Embodying Wellness Through Retreat and Movement</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One of the highlights of the year at the Greenwell Center is the <strong><a href="https://greenwellcenter.com/product/artfilled-wellness-a-cape-breton-island-energy-arts-immersion-retreat/" title="Artfilled Wellness Retreat">Artfilled Wellness Retreat</a></strong>, taking place this August on beautiful Cape Breton Island. This immersive eight-day experience combines <strong>movement, music, art, nature, and bioenergetic practices</strong> to provide a full-spectrum approach to wellness. Participants engage in <strong>energy balancing exercises, mindful movement, creative expression, and restorative experiences</strong>, leaving with practical tools to integrate wellness into daily life.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Retreats like this are a chance to step away from routine, reconnect with ourselves, and experience wellness as <strong>embodied practice</strong>. They are also an opportunity to engage with a global community of practitioners who share knowledge, guidance, and inspiration.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Celebrating World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">April marks <strong>World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day</strong>, an annual celebration of movement, mindfulness, and energy awareness. This year, our class in Baddeck will come together to honor these practices, demonstrating how small daily movements can profoundly support <strong>posture, balance, energy flow, and mental clarity</strong>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Tai Chi and Qi Gong are more than exercise—they are living examples of <strong>integration, balance, and embodied awareness</strong>. By participating, we strengthen the connection between mind, body, and energy, while fostering <strong>community and collective wellbeing</strong>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through my work with CanBeWell, the Greenwell Center continues to foster collaboration across borders. This network of colleagues enriches the community experience, ensuring that wellness is <strong>both personal and shared</strong>.</p>

This belief comes to life once again as <a href="https://www.marathonjam.org/htm" title="Marathon Jam">Marathon Jam</a> hosts the <strong>2nd Annual Healing Through Music and Movement Event</strong>, a powerful, interactive day designed to support veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and anyone seeking meaningful tools for self-care and resilience.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Following a remarkable inaugural year, hosted by <em>Stonefield Cellars Winery in Stokesdale, NC</em>, this program was honoured with a <strong>Legacy Leader Award in 2025 through CanBeWell.org</strong>, recognizing its impact in bridging science, creativity, and community wellness. This year, the experience expands even further—offering participants new ways to explore healing through sound, movement, and artistic expression.  Take a look at our video from last year!</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Expanding the Experience: What’s New in 2026</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This year’s event introduces exciting new elements designed to deepen the healing journey:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Instrument Exploration Program</strong>: Participants will engage directly with sound, discovering how rhythm, vibration, and tone can support emotional release and nervous system regulation.</li>



<li><strong>Additional Facilitator</strong>s: Bringing new perspective and expertise to broaden the learning experience.</li>



<li><strong>NeuroArt Station</strong>: A creative space where participants can explore the intersection of art and neuroscience—translating internal experiences into visual expression to support integration and insight.</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These additions reflect a growing understanding: healing is multi-sensory, and when we engage the body, mind, and creative spirit together, transformation becomes more accessible.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The Heart of the Program: A Signature Formula for Healing</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the core of this event is a thoughtfully designed experiential framework developed by <strong>Dr</strong> <strong>Michelle Greenwell</strong>, <strong>CIH BioEW</strong>, <strong>Colin MacLeod</strong>, and <strong>Tanya Levy</strong>, <strong>MSW</strong>.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This signature program weaves a formula through the day that inspires letting go, walking forward, and finding balance and flow.  Each activity and the overall organization of the day, plus the &#8220;right&#8221; cup of tea, guides participants through a carefully curated sequence of music, movement, and reflective practices that support:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Awareness of the body’s response to stress and trauma</li>



<li>Gentle unwinding of held tension patterns</li>



<li>Re-patterning through rhythm, breath, and intentional movement</li>



<li>Integration through creative and sensory-based practices</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This “formula building” approach empowers participants not only to experience healing in the moment, but to <strong>leave with tools they can apply in everyday life</strong>.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Continuing the Conversation: Podcast Connections</h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The impact of this work extends beyond the event itself. Several of last year’s facilitators and themes have been featured on the <strong>“Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell” podcast</strong>, offering deeper insights into the science and stories behind the practices shared.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These episodes serve as a bridge—allowing listeners to revisit key concepts, explore personal journeys, and integrate learning at their own pace.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As the program grows, <strong>new podcast interviews are on the horizon</strong>, highlighting the voices and expertise of the additional facilitators joining this year’s event &#8211; Karen Novy and Matthew Seymour. These conversations will continue to expand our understanding of trauma recovery, resilience, and the role of creative expression in healing.</p>
