Since 2007, the Dr. Rogers Prize has recognized researchers, practitioners, and innovators who have made significant contributions to advancing health, medicine, and healing. This nomination is an incredible honour and a testament to Dr. Greenwell’s lifelong dedication to holistic wellness and her leadership in expanding awareness of complementary and integrative health practices.

Over the past year, Dr. Greenwell has been at the forefront of several important initiatives:

Advancing Education – She has been actively supporting the development and growth of the MSc in Complementary and Integrative Health at Akamai University, mentoring future leaders in the field.

Global Mental Health Advocacy – On behalf of CIH programs, Dr. Greenwell played a key role in World Mental Health Day outreach, helping to bring global awareness to the power of integrative practices for mental wellness.

Innovating Through Movement – Her online movement programs have expanded the conversation around NeuroArts for Wellness, showcasing how movement, creativity, and bioenergetic awareness can transform health and resilience.

Sharing Voices of Change – Through her podcast, “Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell,” she continues to spotlight leaders, practitioners, and inspiring stories that help listeners integrate wellness tools into daily life.

The nomination package was accompanied by strong letters of support recognizing Dr. Greenwell’s contributions to community, education, and leadership in advancing complementary health practices across Canada and beyond. As noted by the Dr. Rogers Prize Committee, the calibre of nominees this year is exceptionally high, making this recognition especially meaningful.

The 2025 winner will be announced later this Fall, but already this nomination highlights Dr. Greenwell’s vision and tireless efforts in bringing complementary and integrative health into the forefront of Canadian healthcare.

Dr Greenwell is President of the Canadian Association of BioEnergetic Wellness (2020-present), on the Board for Wine Country Tai Chi Society, Volunteer Instructor with Tai Chi Cape Breton, Co-coordinator of the Tuesday Toast and Tea Community Breakfast in Mabou, NS since Feb 2024, and Partnered with Marian Egan in Ireland for the Magnifying Peace Project.
