We all have the moment now to consider our desires for 2026, let the Cape Breton Tea Company help you put it in place with the Be Well with Dr Michelle Greenwell podcast episode to welcome in the Year of the Fire Horse

As a new year unfolds, many of us feel the quiet stirring of possibility. Not the loud declarations of resolution or urgency—but something more subtle. A soft inner call asking: What do I truly desire? And perhaps even more gently: Am I willing to be available to it?

At the Cape Breton Tea Company, tea has always been more than something we drink. It is a pause. A practice. A relationship with time, intention, and the wisdom that lives within us. Each blend is created not to tell us who to be, but to support us in remembering who we already are.

Audio Version

The Power of Aspiration

Aspiration is different from striving. It does not push—it invites. True desire rises from the heart, not from obligation or comparison. When we slow down enough to listen, we begin to notice what truly nourishes us: connection, creativity, rest, purpose, belonging.

Tea teaches us this rhythm naturally. Leaves and herbs release their gifts only when we allow time, warmth, and presence. In the same way, our deepest desires reveal themselves when we stop forcing outcomes and begin trusting process.

The Cape Breton Tea Company blends are designed to support this unfolding. Rooted in nature, tradition, and mindful intention, they invite us into moments of reflection—where clarity emerges not through effort, but through openness.

Being Available to the Heart’s Wisdom

To be available to our heart’s desires means creating space—internally and externally. It means allowing ourselves to feel curiosity instead of certainty, compassion instead of judgment, and patience instead of pressure.

This availability is an act of courage. It asks us to step beyond familiar patterns and listen to what feels alive now. Tea becomes a gentle ally in this process, helping regulate the nervous system, soften the edges of stress, and bring us back into the present moment—where insight lives.

When we sit with a cup of tea, we practice presence. And presence is where transformation begins.

Community as a Vessel for Growth

While inner listening is deeply personal, aspiration does not flourish in isolation. Community plays a vital role in helping us explore, reflect, and grow. When we gather—whether around a table, a class, a circle, or a shared experience—we remind one another that we are not alone in our becoming.

At the Cape Breton Tea Company, community has always been at the heart of our work. Our blends are often shared in moments of conversation, creativity, healing, and celebration. They support not only individual reflection, but collective connection—creating spaces where stories are exchanged, ideas are nurtured, and possibilities feel safer to explore.

Community allows us to witness one another’s aspirations, offering encouragement, resonance, and support as we listen more deeply to ourselves.

A New Year Greeting

As we welcome this New Year, we extend a warm and heartfelt greeting to you. May this year be one of gentle awakening—where you feel supported in listening to your inner wisdom and inspired to explore what truly matters to you.

May your days include moments of stillness, meaningful connection, and nourishment—both in body and in spirit.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move through the year ahead, we invite you to stay connected with the Cape Breton Tea Company and the growing community that surrounds it. In 2026, we look forward to offering opportunities to gather, reflect, and explore together through events, collaborations, and shared experiences that honor wellbeing, creativity, and heart-led living.

Whether you join us through tea, community gatherings, workshops, or moments of quiet reflection at home, know that you are part of a collective intention: to live more consciously, more compassionately, and more aligned with our true desires.

Here’s to a year of opening, listening, and steeping into who you are becoming.

With warmth and gratitude,

Michelle Greenwell, and
The Cape Breton Tea Company

How Daily Art Sparks Big Business Shifts

What happens when creativity becomes more than a spark of inspiration and turns into a daily practice that transforms leaders, businesses, and communities? In this week’s Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell podcast, I’m joined by Noah and Mica Scalin, siblings, collaborators, and co-authors of Creative Sprint: 30-Day Challenges to Jumpstart Your Creativity. Together, they’ve worked with everyone from incarcerated teens to Fortune 500 executives, showing how creativity can unlock resilience, innovation, and connection.

The Tea Ritual: Inviting Creativity to Flow

Before diving into this inspiring conversation, we begin with a tea ritual to set the intention for creativity and connection. For this episode, I’ve chosen our 1909 First Flight on Baddeck Bay Tea from the Cape Breton Tea Company. This blend honors the spirit of innovation sparked by Alexander Graham Bell and his team, whose historic flight took off in Baddeck, Nova Scotia.

The tea features raspberry and lemon, two ingredients that embody the spiritual essence of creativity:

Raspberry: Encourages self-expression, authenticity, and boldness—perfect for opening yourself to new ideas and sharing them with confidence.

Lemon: Brings clarity, freshness, and perspective—clearing mental fog so creativity can flow with brightness and direction.

The Ritual

As you sip, pause to:

Breathe deeply and let the aroma awaken your senses.

Acknowledge the spirit of innovation within you, much like the daring flight that once lifted off above Baddeck Bay.

Set an intention for your own creative expression—whether that’s in your work, your family life, or a new idea waiting to be explored.

This mindful moment with tea prepares us to step into the conversation with openness and curiosity.

Meet Noah and Mica

His internationally exhibited artwork has inspired audiences around the globe, and his Creative Sprint programs have been adopted by schools, communities, and corporations alike.
Together, Noah and Mica co-wrote Creative Sprint, a six-part guide designed to help anyone jumpstart their creativity through short, daily challenges, and a card deck to keep things easy access for instant fun. Their work bridges art, leadership, and human connection—making creativity accessible and impactful for everyone.

Creativity as Leadership

In our conversation, we explore how creativity fuels resilience, strengthens teams, and inspires new possibilities. Noah and Mica share stories of working with global business leaders, students, and even entire communities to shift perspectives and empower action. Their insights reveal that creativity is not about being “artistic” but about engaging with challenges in new and innovative ways.
