<p data-start="3867" data-end="3962"><strong>Travel:</strong></p>
<p data-start="3867" data-end="3962">Flights are best to Halifax, although you can land in Sydney, Cape Breton.  Consider carpooling, and rent a vehicle for the week to provide you with your own transportation to the various venues and highlights.  There is so much to explore in Nova Scotia and on the island.</p>
<p data-start="3867" data-end="3962">From Halifax to Cape Breton, and to Mabou specifically is 3.5 hours without any stops.  If you are taking a red-eye, you will need a nap before making the trip, Mount Tom has an energy that really pulls at tired bodies. If you choose to arrive a few days early, Halifax is an incredible port city to explore with many famous historical sites and a great music and museum scene.  If several wish to arrive early, we can help coordinate a house rental for people to enjoy the sites together with a reduced cost for accommodation.</p>
<p data-start="3867" data-end="3962">If you choose to arrive to Sydney, it is a 2 hour drive to Mabou.  There are also several historic sites and the waterfront to explore if you are interested in the Fortress of Louisbourg and the Bell Museum in Baddeck on the way.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do you have Touch for Health experience and want to really dive deeper into the protocols and tools of this amazing program?  At the Greenwell Center for Holistic Health we want to highlight the power of the Touch for Health techniques in a way that makes it practical for daily living.  Whether you have Level 1 to Level 4, we are looking for people who want to build their Touch for Health knowledge and practice balancing on themselves, friends and neighbours.  This class will be your inspiration for daily self-care, as well as a think-tank for more applications for Touch for Health in your day, at the office, or in your professional business as a wellness facilitator.</p>
<p>The class will be offered for 8 week starting Wed, October 22 at 12 pm Atlantic, 8 am Pacific, and 4 pm in the UK, finishing December 10th.  The weekly gathering will be for 90 minutes and will include applications of techniques to explore during the week.</p>
<p>The cost is $450 plus tax.  You will need the Complete Edition Touch for Health textbook and your enthusiasm to explore.</p>
<p>For those of you with a Tai Chi background, you will begin to see the power behind the Tai Chi moves through the lens of the Five Element Theory and Dr George Goodheart&#8217;s discoveries of the organ, meridian, muscle relationship.  Personal skill development will be bringing your movement knowledge forward, especially whole-body movement.  For those who work with clients, this will provide you with the knowledge of how to apply homework and follow up that will sustain and expand the energy activations you create in your one on one sessions.</p>

<p>Dr Michelle Greenwell will highlight setting up your day for success through awareness, intention, posture power and integrative movement patterns using special exercises, Tai Chi patterns, and movement ideas.  She is joined by doctoral student, and intuitive musician extraordinaire, Colin MacLeod of Scotland who will be playing intuitively to the group and with the exercises to maximize the speed and agility of your transformation from chronic pain, stiff joints, and lower energy into vitality and resiliency.  Dr Greenwell will share the BioEnergetic Wellness Formula for successful daily habits, and together you will be empowered to engage in a wellness plan that meets you where your needs are and what you need to be inspired.</p>
<p>No experience is necessary.  Seated and standing options for movement will be offered.  This special group will grow in skill as you are nurtured for your personal needs and goals.</p>
<p>Course dates:  Tuesdays 12 pm Atlantic, 8 am Pacific, 4 pm UK.  September 9, 16, 23, 30, Oct 7, 14, 21, 28, Nov 4, 18, 25, Dec 2 (no class on Remembrance Day Nov 11).</p>

<p>In our first series we explored movement through the award-winning program for Unwinding Trauma, created by Tanya Levy, Michelle and Colin and presented in Tenerife, Spain and San Diego, USA.  In this series we will be exploring the Essence of the Spine and its relationship to sound, muscles, and whole body movement. We will continue our exploration of the sequences in the 108 Moving Meditation by Master Moy Lin Shin, both seated and standing, as well as some special patterns from Sabre and Lok Hup. Each set brings us deeper into the tissue and organs of the body to improve circulation, lymph flow, joint mobility, clear minds, and building energy. Our special focus each week is to help you gain experience with being grounded, finding your heart center, opening your mind to new ideas, and transforming your life into vitality and resiliency.</p>
<p>If you have never taken Tai Chi before, this is a great starting place. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Join us as we explore the healing powers of the Tai Chi Foundations and 108 Moving Meditation of Master Moy Lin Shin. Tai Chi and Qi Gong are an easy, low impact, stretching and strengthening way to change the moving patterns of the body. Studies show that many of our ailments can be relieved by practicing this ancient art form, this can include blood pressure, diabetes, chronic pain, headaches, joint pain, energy levels, sleep patterns, breathing patterns, allergies, inflammation and more.</p>
<p>All levels are welcome to join the class. Beginners too! We begin with the Tai Chi set and explore small movement sections of the set, then add Sabre and Lok Hup as time allows. Seated and standing versions offered throughout.</p>
<p>Membership dues collected 3 times per year, Jan, April and September. $65 for four months.  Payment can be made at class or by e-transfer.</p>

<p>Follow along with the exercises listed in the book. These videos will provide you with a visual of the details that go with each exercise. Try to do the exercise on your own so you can begin to get it into your own body. For review, watch yourself in the mirror to check stance and positioning. If you always watch the video you will never process the info through muscle memory in the body. Watch and try it, then do it on your own. Check in the mirror to see your alignment, and then review again with the video.</p>
<p>Please remember that these exercises you explore at your own risk. Use a mirror to make sure you have the correct alignment, work within your limits, and consult your physician or physiotherapy specialist to determine if there are any specifics you should be aware of before moving.</p>
<p>Patience is key to learning new skills and building a new relationship with your body. Start slow, check alignment and movement details, review using a mirror for a visual cue, and stay within your physical abilities. Coordination will come with time and experience, so have patience when you find patterns that are not so easy to work with. And, most of all, remember to smile to relax the body, and have fun!</p>
