This rich black tea is infused with the flavour of lavender and supported by the petals of chamomile, rose and cornflower.  The first sip brings in the rich tradition of a black tea, and then the senses pick up the power of each flower to build a bouquet.  Milk is not required for this blend.  High in antioxidants and medium with caffeine, it is the perfect tea for an afternoon celebration with sweets or sandwiches.

The reference to 1713 is inspired by the rich history of the Fortress of Louisbourg.  Many visitors to Cape Breton Island enjoy the historical site and its period costumes and living for the 18th century.  Louisbourg was a rich source of fish when first established in 1713, and the Fortress became an important trade point for Canadian resources.  On the river banks where the fish were salted and dried, you could find the flowers added to this blend.
